no ordinary tees

i have a T-shirt restyling article in the new issue of Sew Stylish… three springy projects that will help you transform those plain old boring T’s in your closet into cute *new* tops you’ll want to actually wear! those who’ve known me for a long time know that i’ve been a big re-vamper of T’s for so long i can’t even say when i began (i have a photo of myself at about age 12, wearing a dress i made from tees). one of the first classes i ever taught was one called ‘T-shirt Workshop’, way back when i had my shop in the Lower East Side. in that class, all we used was a pair of scissors to re-shape them into infinite combinations of neckline, sleeve, and hemline stylings. these new ones do require a little stitchery, but i know you’re up to it! if you make one, i’d love to see it…
