oh Canada!

i am VERY excited to tell you about my upcoming, first-ever INTERNATIONAL teaching trip! in just a few weeks, Gertie and i will be loading up the car and road-tripping up to Toronto. who knew it was only 7 hours away? we didn’t, at least until Alisa came to visit in October (and March!), so now we are going to visit her! and in between the fun fibery activities and bakery visits we have planned, i will be teaching a couple of classes too…

on Friday evening, April 29 from 6-8pm, i’ll be visiting Lettuce Knit and teaching Embroidery for Knit and Crochet. i can’t wait to visit this shop and see the lovely Megan and crew, who i met at Squam last year. i adored Megan within five minutes of meeting her, when she silently rescued me from a knitting near-catastrophe.

on Saturday, April 30 from 10am-2pm i will be teaching Patternmaking Simplified at Greenwood Quiltery in Guelph, in which i’ll teach how to draft patterns for a skirt and shift dress. last i heard there were still a few spots open in this class!

and on that Sunday i’m teaching two more patternmaking classes at the workroom, which i won’t even tell you about because they sold out practically before she even announced them (but i’ve promised to come back and teach more as soon as i can!). i totally can’t wait to meet Karyn and see her place, which looks super dreamy! i’m sure i will be bringing home some *souvenirs* of my trip from each of these shops…
