book review: Sew Tina!

if i were a little girl (or boy), i would hope that my mother somehow stumbled across the new book Sew Tina! by Tina Givens. here at hodge podge farm we are happy to welcome Tina’s fans today for a stop on her blog tour! the clothes in Tina’s book remind me of playing dress-up when i was little, and i think most kids would want to wear them every day… check out her line of sewing patterns and you’ll see what i mean.

this book contains patterns and instructions for a wonderland wardrobe of clothing and accessories, including dresses, totes, hats, booties, aprons, toys and even a sleeping bag! in Tina’s own fantastical prints, the projects could furnish a life that feels like a fairy tale, and in simpler solid fabrics these could be very practical-yet-playful pieces to suit any modern lifestyle. throughout the book you’ll find fanciful drawings and detailed instructions for every project, and i adore the hand-drawn diagram sketches that clearly illustrate how to sew them.

you can find three sample projects and a chance to win a copy over here. happy sewing!

next stop: friday over at Pink Chalk Studio
