i can hardly believe it, but in April i’m heading i can hardly believe it, but in April i’m heading to my home state of Ohio to teach at @suespargo Folk Art Quilts! it’s my 5-day Design (and MAKE!) Your Own Wardrobe, and we’ll be drafting the 3 patterns shown here: my infamous #calpatchboxytee (aka Boxy Top/Drapy Tunic), Lounge Pants and a button-down Shirt or Jacket! Sue is the Queen of embellishment, so my idea is to bring the art or pattern drafting and garment sewing to her studio, as a way to create “blank canvas” clothing that can later be embroidered, appliquéd, beaded or whatever one’s heart desires! we will be focused on the garments for this class, but Sue offers workshops, videos and ALL the gorgeous supplies to help you learn how to embellish. or, check out my Artful Garment year-long virtual workshop, now open for registration. and you know i’ll bring all my samples to show and tell! all the links with full details and dates are you-know-where. #suespargo #theartfulgarment #calpatchclasses #whereiscalpatchteachingnext
