now that our woodstove is in, everything revolves around it. we love it SO much! the living room has a whole new focal point (and Mr. Smith is going to make a mosaic of bluestone from our property on the wall behind it). i love the rhythm of checking on it and adding more wood to keep the temperature up, keeping our baskets stocked with kindling and assorted sizes of logs, putting in a giant “overnighter” and closing the flue before we go to bed at night, then stoking the coals and re-kindling in the morning. this little stove seems to be just right for our house so far, and i can’t WAIT for our first power outage! now we’ll be warm and even able to do some cooking with no electricity…
