next weekend i’ll be in brooklyn again to teach some classes…
on saturday, 4/24 i’ll be at lena corwin’s studio for an all-day embroidery and applique workshop from 11-4, including a delicious lunch. the photo above is from our last embroidery class; i love those delicate stitches!
and on sunday the 25th, i’m teaching two workshops which work well as a set, and by the end of the day you’ll have made your own T-shirt! above are some examples of shirts you could make; the photo is from my book.
first, from 10-12 is the T-shirt patternmaking workshop at Brooklyn General. you’ll learn how to take your own measurements and use them to draft a pattern that fits your own unique body. NOTE: be sure to get the supply list upon registration, as it’s not on the website. also, the date really is the 25th, NOT the 18th!
then, i’ll be walking over the union street bridge to home ec for the T-shirt sewing workshop from 2-6. in this class i’ll show you how to sew with knits and you’ll stitch up a shirt from your pattern or mine.
these two classes are totally separate, but combined they become an all-day T-shirt intensive from start to finish!
