if you don’t live near me in the Hudson Valley (or even if you do) and have been wanting to take one of my multi-week patternmaking or sewing classes, this might be the exciting opportunity you’ve been waiting for…
this summer, July 1-5 to be precise, i will be teaching a FIVE DAY ALL-DAY intensive workshop called Design (and Make!) Your Own Clothes at Peter’s Valley Craft Center in Layton, New Jersey. i am super thrilled because this will be the first time i am teaching a comprehensive how-to-make-your-own-patterns-and-THEN-sew-the-clothes-yourself workshop, which is just about the holy grail of teaching possibilities! usually the quandary is how to cram everything i want to teach into one, or a few, 2-hour class sessions, but this one is the whole tamale. you will make patterns for a skirt, T-shirt and dress that fit YOU, and then complete each style, from muslin to (nicely) finished garment. how cool is that?
