guess what? the Basic Shirt project from my book was featured in yesterday’s How-Tuesday article in The Storque! that means you can try out patternmaking and see just how fun it is for yourself. this shirt is a classic, with infinite spin-off possibilities. people are always telling me how hard it is to find a button-down shirt that fits in the bust, yet isn’t too big in the waist; in my opinion, the only solution is to custom-make your own.
also, a fellow etsian pointed out to me that it would be a little LOT more ‘DIY’ to link to independent booksellers, rather than mega-online discount retailers, and i couldn’t agree more. the choice remains yours as to where you buy your books, but here’s a link to find your local independent bookstore which surely deserves your support! oh, and thanks oodles for supporting your independent craft authors as well, any which way you choose…
