i can’t believe i’m in PORTLAND! this is probably the american city that i’ve been most wanting to visit for years. i haven’t seen much of it yet, but so far it’s a really lovely town…
as you probably know, i am here for the 2011 Sock Summit, which begins tomorrow! i can hardly contain the excitement. are you coming? i’m teaching 4 classes, and there are still a couple of open spots in each, which you can register for at the door if you’d like to join in on some last-minute fun. otherwise, i hope you’ll stop by and say hi; when i’m not teaching i’ll be hanging out at the Jill Draper Makes Stuff booth (#823). i even made some little drawstring project bags to sell! i’d love to see and meet you, Portland peeps!
oh, and i’ll be doing a book signing too, saturday from 5:30-6, and my book will be available in the marketplace bookshop.
i’ve been having lots of fun making samples for my classes, which are about embellishing your socks (handmade or not) with crochet edgings or embroidery. so now all of my socks are extra fancy!
