3 fun things this week in Hudson, NY

i’m at a residency this week at the wonderful Drop Forge & Tool in Hudson, NY, an arts space where i frequently teach and annually spend a week with a group of kindred fiber people, immersing ourselves in textiles, experimentation and collaboration. it couldn’t possibly be more fun.

i was just playing around with layout; i’m sure it will change.
  1. we are having an Open Studio this saturday, 2/1/20 from 2-4pm in the space at 442 warren street. you might like to come if you can, and check out what we’ve been up to…
  2. across the street is the cutest cafe called Thyme & co. and they have delicious vegan doughnuts EVERY DAY. today’s flavor was matcha and it was outstanding.
  3. yesterday i had the brilliant idea to cross-pollinate two of the make-alongs i’m participating in: tara faughnan”s #thecolorcollective and lisa solomon’s #colormeditation. i hadn’t quite figured out what to do with these solid colored fabrics but suddenly they are becoming a quilt. also now i know i absolutely NEED to make a design wall in my own studio, so i can stick fabric to the walls all the time. because IT IS SO FUN…
