i’m not sure i can really express just how excited i am about this, so i’m just going to put it simply:

I WILL BE TEACHING AT SQUAM ART WORKSHOPS THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, i can hardly believe it myself. i am getting paid to go to summer camp! it looks like just about the loveliest place on earth, and with arts and crafts. my only regret is that i can’t clone myself so i could be taking classes as well as teaching them. i mean, check out the teacher list! come on now; two of them are people whose blogs i already subscribe to! here’s a sampling of the ones i already worship (and the others are equally illustrious i’m certain): maya donenfeld (of mayamade; read her recap of last year here), lizzy house, jared flood, and marisa haedike (of creative thursday). and– get this– stephanie pearl-mcphee, the yarn harlot herself (whose book i somehow coincidentally just happened to be in the middle of when i found this out) will be a guest speaker. not to mention the founders of ravelry. could it get any better than that?

i will be teaching two patternmaking workshops (A-line skirt and T-shirt), an all-day T-shirt sewing workshop, and an advanced patternmaking workshop. offerings from the other teachers include knitting, spinning, printing, embroidering, bookmaking, felting, and more. need any more convincing? i hope you’ll come and join me!

i think this video gives a pretty good perspective of what to expect…

(if i didn’t embed it properly look here.)
