guess who got their first taste of the outdoors today? i made the girls a temporary pen so they could have a little adventure. at first, they just huddled together timidly, but gradually they began to explore and scratch and eat bugs. one of their jobs around here is going to be eating as many ticks as is chickenly possible, so it was encouraging to see them eating ants and chasing flies at 10 days old! i think they had a pretty grand time. now they are back in my studio, zonked out like kids after a day at the amusement park.
