ok, on to the announcements! or at least the first of several this week…
new year = new classes! jill and i have schemed and toiled and come up with SEVEN BRAND NEW CLASSES over at double knot studio. (plus some old favorites.) if you are in or near the Hudson Valley/Catskills area of New York, you simply must take a peek. and for all of my faithful NYC peeps, some of these are worthy of day or weekend trips upstate! you really should get out of the city once in a while… and Rhinebeck and New Paltz are lovely towns!
just to wet your whistle i’ll mention Make Your Own Dress (starts 1/16), in which you’ll draft a pattern and then sew a dress of your own design, Thrummed Mittens (starts 1/9 or 1/15), where you’ll learn the ancient technique of thrumming (aka knitting fluffy warm insulation right into the mitts! that’s an inside-out sample above), Embroidery for Knit and Crochet (1/15), and Knitting in Color (starts 2/27). see the full list of classes organized by month (and updated often) here.
